The Mangrove Snapper, also known as the Gray Snapper, is a common inshore fish with a streamlined body and a pointed head. They are opportunistic feeders and often congregate around structures like mangroves, docks, and reefs.

- Colors
- Grayish-green to reddish-brown, often with faint vertical bars and a dark stripe running from the eye to the corner of the gill cover. Juveniles may have a more prominent blue stripe below the eye.
