About
Bluefish are aggressive, schooling fish with a streamlined body and a large mouth filled with sharp teeth. They are known for their voracious feeding habits and can often be found in large schools, preying on smaller fish.

- 12-24 inches, 1-10 lbs (can reach up to 40 inches and 30 lbs)
- Colors
- Bluish-green back, silvery sides, and a white belly. They have a dark blotch at the base of the pectoral fin.
- Diet
- Primarily other fish (menhaden, herring, sand eels), but also squid, crustaceans, and occasionally smaller bluefish.
- Region
- Atlantic coast of the United States, from Maine to Florida, and also found in the Gulf of Mexico.
