About
Blacktip sharks are known for the distinctive black tips on their fins, especially the dorsal and caudal fins. They are active, fast-swimming sharks often seen leaping out of the water while hunting schools of fish.

- 1.5 - 2.5 meters (5 - 8.2 feet), up to 120 kg (265 lbs)
- Colors
- Gray to brownish-gray dorsally, white or pale ventrally, with prominent black tips on fins.

- Primarily feeds on small bony fishes, but also consumes crustaceans, squid, and occasionally small sharks and rays.

- Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of the United States, ranging from southern New England to Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.
