Arrowtooth flounder are left-eyed flatfish characterized by their elongated, arrow-shaped body and large mouth with numerous sharp teeth. They are opportunistic predators, often found lying on the seafloor waiting to ambush prey.

- Up to 33 inches, typically 1-3 lbs, but can reach up to 6 lbs
- Colors
- Brown to olive-green on the eyed side, white on the blind side. May have faint dark blotches.
- Diet
- Primarily other fish (e.g., walleye pollock, eulachon), crustaceans (e.g., shrimp), and squid.
- Region
- Eastern Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, and along the west coast of North America as far south as California.
